During this residency two week residency, with teacher Danielle Levine, the process of drawing and painting personal imagery emerged from the students discovery and exploration one single interesting objects that they brought into share with a unit on science, art and design. At the end of the residency, student artists were able to express themselves through the modality of graffiti and paint, writing and present their work in a group exhibition in two school locations: First in their classrooms and hallways for the community and second another school twelve miles away in a new neighborhood.

Over the course of three months, students grades K-6 focused of self expression using drawing, painting, collaging and book making to collaborate with Jean and her methods of movement, tracing the body, using stories to express themselves openly and personally.

This joyous celebration gave young students the ability to express movements that they felt in their bodies to give agency to their self confidence and identity. The students had a parade of their final painted pannels around the school. They were asked to write a short sentence about their paintings made in the style of Keith Haring.
